He’s back

But not in the scary, going-to-take-over-the-world-in-the-name-of-Skynet kind of way. Former intern Adam Bowlin has returned to us after a year-long stint at VSA in Chicago. And we couldn’t be happier. Okay, maybe we could be a little bit happier. But we’re still pretty stinkin’ excited. Welcome back, Adam.

That beer thing paid off

We’re thrilled to announce the former intern Sarah Baldwin has joined Marlin full-time as a designer.  She’s done a fantastic job keeping up with a demanding schedule and some quick deadlines, all while producing some truly great beer…er, work. Yes, delicious, cold, frosty, home-brewed work. We couldn’t be happier to have you as a full-fledged Marlinite, Sarah. Welcome to the team.

This year’s extremely talented crop

The halls of Marlin were invaded last Friday by a herd of eager, amazingly talented Senior MSU Design students. They came to have their books reviewed, and left with new perspective on how to polish them up more. We’ve got to say: Wow. Really killer work coming out of the program this year. It was our pleasure to participate, and looking forward to seeing the Class of ’12 portfolios.

Hello there, you art director, you

We’re looking to hire an art director. If you’re interested, take a crack at the questions below. Offer up your answers to us in the contact form that follows. We’ll get back to you with a response as soon as humanly possible. (Which tells you a little something about us here at Marlin — we are, in fact, humans.)

The 7 Questions!
Meticulously researched and painstakingly vetted over half of a lunch hour! Yazoo!

1.) Describe yourself in exactly six syllables.

2.) Have you ever been arrested? If so, for what client(s)?

3.) Do you own a pencil?

4.) Is this cybernet thing just a fad, or will it one day enslave us all?

5.) How do you make big ideas bigger?

6.) Do you like awards? Do they like you?

7.) Take us somewhere, linkwise.
