Another Marlin Newcomer

Marlin happily welcomes Cecily Robertson as our new Copywriting Intern. Cecily recently graduated from Drury, where she studied Advertising and French. She spends most of her free time dreaming about traveling, enjoying funny TV shows, reading and chasing after stray animals. Her life’s biggest question is what she’ll be next for Halloween. What can top Charlie Kelly or a decapitated Marie Antoinette? Happy to have you, Cecily.

Introducing Claire Hoehamer

Marlin is happy to announce Claire Hoehamer as our new Account Service Intern. This “Des Moines-er” comes to us as a recent graduate of Evangel, where she studied Journalism, Marketing and Marble Mocha Macchiatos. Don’t let her sunny disposition fool you—diss the Cubs or turn everything in her office upside-down, and she will find you and pummel you with her giant pilates ball and freakishly flexible thumb. Obviously, she’s fitting in quite well. Welcome aboard, Claire.

Say Hello to Erin Hargis

ImageReally. She’ll be the first person to greet you when you walk in the door. Erin is the office’s Speedy Gonzalez intern. She types 30 wpm faster than the average person and holds the record for fastest shoe tying in the nation. And these aren’t her only talents. She’s studying film production at Missouri State, owns her own delicious online bakery called Whisk, and desires nothing more than to befriend a great white shark. Oh, and she’s a pleasure to have around. Welcome, Erin. We’re happy to have your scrumptious treats and friendly smile greet us every morning.

He’s back

But not in the scary, going-to-take-over-the-world-in-the-name-of-Skynet kind of way. Former intern Adam Bowlin has returned to us after a year-long stint at VSA in Chicago. And we couldn’t be happier. Okay, maybe we could be a little bit happier. But we’re still pretty stinkin’ excited. Welcome back, Adam.

That beer thing paid off

We’re thrilled to announce the former intern Sarah Baldwin has joined Marlin full-time as a designer.  She’s done a fantastic job keeping up with a demanding schedule and some quick deadlines, all while producing some truly great beer…er, work. Yes, delicious, cold, frosty, home-brewed work. We couldn’t be happier to have you as a full-fledged Marlinite, Sarah. Welcome to the team.

Speaking of new people…

We’re also happy to introduce our new Account Service intern, Nick Coplin. Nick is originally from Kansas City and joins us fresh from a degree-getting stint (a degree in marketing with an emphasis in advertising and promotion with a minor in design, to be exact) at Missouri State University.

Nick will be helping us out on a variety of our accounts like Splenda and Sweet Street.  He’s also into technology and, most importantly, he’s a Call of Duty player, which was a very happy surprise to several Marlinites.

And if you’re worried about where we’re going to be putting all of these new people, have no fear. We have plenty of room in the men’s restroom. The second stall on the left is open and fairly clean…ish.

Good luck, Nick!
